In a day and age where weapons are cheap, freely avail­able, and death is just another part of life, it’s only a mat­ter of time until weapons end up becom­ing a topic of conversation.

“Hey, have you seen that new Cyber­Fuchi FX-92 Heavy in gun­metal with pow­der blue high­lights?“
“Nah, but I just got myself a Rock­Fang Z2 in shock­ing pink!“
“At least you could have got it with the match­ing under­bar­rel flash­light from DeniGreat.”

It becomes just another fash­ion acces­sory, pick up a new one every year when the new fash­ion comes around. But to an aver­age run­ner, you don’t care how you look, just that you can defend your­self. A weapon becomes a part of your life, rather than just an accessory.

Melee weapons are legal, along with small arms (pis­tols and deriv­a­tives), but since when did that stop the aver­age run­ner grab­bing some­thing a lit­tle bigger?

“This? This is my antique FN-FAL, passed down to me from my father, and to him from his father. Sure, it’s get­ting a lit­tle tough to find ammu­ni­tion for it, but it has a style that the mod­ern plas­tic trash just can’t match, and stop­ping power you’ll never forget.”
